Uncover the Adversity - Discover the Diversity - Experience the Solidarity

“Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”
- Steven Covey

“Most of the mistakes in thinking are inadequacies of perception rather than mistakes of logic.”
- Edward de Bono

In order win the war, we cannot entangle ourselves in the battle. We must see the core of the problem and the influences that create the conflict clearly and honestly.

Until we deal with these issues, we will never transfer from adversity to diversity by finding a common interest of exchange.

We must seek to understand:
  • Our peers (coworkers)
  • Our superiors (supervisors and leaders)
  • Our personal life (family, friends and strangers)
We must re-examine how shortcomings are a pathway to develop strength:
  • Other people's weaknesses are your strengths. Your weaknesses are other people's strengths.  Rather than perceiving weakness as a means for judgment and manipulation:
    • we must learn what others need
    • we must learn how we can support them
    • we must learn how to contribute as a synergistic team
  • Challenges and conflicts are the doorways we must walk through. There is no right, no wrong… just opportunity.
  • When we uncover and discover other people's challenges and strengths, it empowers us to be more effective and efficient team members who achieve a common goal through collaboration.

Keeping this insight in mind, watch the following two short videos.

What if employees could better communicate and understand each other?

What if employees could take that insight and Co-Lab
resources home and to their community to help resolve challenges in those environments?

In business, we must learn to understand others' (today’s culture):

In business, we must learn how to create trust-based cultures as well as to recognize and resolve the undermining immature fear-based culture:

  • Controlling (solving the wrong problem) Adolescent
  • Independent (solving problems alone) Adult
  • Interdependent (solving problems together) Adult

The Human Intelligence Algorithms™ (HI) Matrix and Human Understanding Dynamic Relational Models™ (HU) you are about to explore will guide you through a discovery of understanding the principles and influences of the people around you, the people above you and yourself.
